Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actress. Her screen debut came in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic for which she won the British Academy Television Award for Best actress. French, German English and Romanian are fluent languages. Her father, a theatre professor in one of the top Romanian theatre schools, is a theatre teacher. At the Mangalia Gala for Young Actors, she won the Best Female Actor Award 2000. The award was given to her as an European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in 2008. She taught for four years at University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu Iasi. bAnamaria Martinca is an Romanian actor born April 1st, 1978 in Romania's Iasi. Alongside her impressive performance in her maiden film, the actress will also be remembered for role in the Romanian art-film 4 Months 3 Weeks as well as 2 Days which won her many awards like winning the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. In 2007, she starred on the Romanian film 4 luni 3 semaines si2 (4 months, 3 weeks 3 Weeks, 3 Weeks, 2 Days) 4 months 3 weeks 2 days, directed composed by Cristian Mungiu. The film was awarded two prizes at the Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize from the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). Additionally, she was a part in the film of Francis Ford Coppola Youth Without Youth. In 2008, she played Yasim Anwar in the BBC Five-episode miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca has appeared on The Romanian drama Boogie as well as Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven. She played Irma in Fury 2014, where she played an German name aunt of Emma.
